When the thermostat is turned on for heat it also turns on my AC unit outside. Put on auto and the heat does not shut off at the preset temperature setting at all. Turn the hold setting on, nothing. Not good walking in the door and its 89 degrees. Usually can turn the heat off at the thermostat but have had to turn the whole unit off at times. Called the install tech, who said to call him first if anything comes up, to get this fixed. He said that he would try to find an older thermostat since they work better than the new ones. I called and asked whats up with a new thermostat and he said its the end of the year and they are all out of thermostats, this is out of Chicago, and they would have to order more. So I guess no one is getting Xfinity Home thermostats installed for the rest of the year. I finally told him to get here and just put my original thermostat back on he said he would call back to let me know when he can set that up. Well I'm sure everyone here knows how the call back went......still waiting!
