Re: Home Security Touchpad - no connectivity

Be sure to follow the steps outlined here: http://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/home-security/xh-offline

Make sure your secure router is plugged up to the internet gateway device. Don't hook up the touchscreen by ethernet, the touchscreen connects wirelessly to the Netgear secure router.

Just make sure that the page says reset the cable modem only. Do not do the reset button on the small netgear router, simply do a power cylce by unplugging it and plugging it back in. The ethernet cable coming from the Netgear to the modem (internet gateway) should be in the very first port by the AC plug, and the other end can be plugged into the back of the modem/gateway.

If the secure router is plugged into a personal router, (I.E. Linksys, etc) be sure to power cylce that personal router as well.

If your secure router after power cylcing doesn't have a blue wi-fi light symbol blinking after about a minute or two, there is a wireless switch on the left side of the Netgear labeled "Wireless" press that button once and wait till that light comes on.

If your touchscreen is still responding, reboot that as that last thing by going to Settings > Advanced Settings > Reboot Touchscreen > Reboot Touchscreen > Enter security pin (your master code to arm/disarm the system)

Let me know if this solution works.
