I had the X1 installed yesterday and the dvr box did not work after the installation. The technican informed me that he contacted the company and they were working on updating the system. I was told to call in by 3 in the afternoon if it still was not working. Well. I have spend more than three hours on the phone with individuals from Comcast and the problem still has not been resolved. I have been disconnected (hung up on) asked the same questions by every one I have spoken to and most times they do not listen when I give them an answer. How do I know that? Because they ask the same question that I have already answered. I was told on Monday that I could have someone repair the problem on Thursday. That was not acceptable to me. I requested a repair today since I an off from work today. Silly me but, it is necessary for me to work for a living so I can pay the cable bill! I keep getting the message that the device must be added to my account before we can continue. The device is added to my account as I have been told at least five times. I have been told to unplug the equiptment. I have done that at least 6 times and it is still not working. my message code is XRE 00251.
I am discusted by the lack of actual customer service that I have been afforded. There have been several individuals who have really tried to help to no avail. There have been others that have well, hung up the phone when the issue could not be resolved.
This upgrade was suggested to me by a Comcast employee. Perhaps you should stop recommending this particular product since there does not seem to be resolutions to problems that occur upon installation.
