I called Comcast today with the exact same question and basically was told "NO". They aren't that advanced yet but they're working on it. They gave me a website to go to that has the Routers that ARE compatible. He actually told me that the Arris TG862G was the best one and it is a Router and Modum in one. But then...I was reading the forum about that model and how so many were having problems with it...now I'm really scared. I've been dealing with nothing but problems for the last two years and Comcast tried to tell me I had a virus and for $120 they would fix it and I would never have the problem again...I knew that wasn't true because I just got my PC and my laptop back from the Geek Squad, the day before, (totally clean), so I knew it didn't have any viruses.
Just over two years ago, when I bought my new router, Comcast told me it was compatible, now, it's not even on their list which is why I feel I think I've been having so many problems.
