Did another full reset (internet modem first, then home, then home wireless) and everything is working again.

 

Comcast is coming tomorrow at 10am to take a look.  At least their tech support was fast and available tonight.

 

I hope someone from Comcast is reading this.  These systems have to be bullet proof.  People use these to protect their property and families.  Resetting is not an option.
