Keypad sometimes requires entering the code twice to disarm

I've been using the wireless keypad for a few weeks now, and recently, it's started to not accept the disarm code on the first try.  The padlock will flash red, like the wrong code has been entered.  On the second attemp, the system will disarm correctly.  I don't have this problem when arming the system.

I've tried replicating the behavior by using combinations of arming from the touchpad and keypad, opening and not opening doors between entering the code and arming, using different codes, and using different armed modes.  If I enter the code to the disarm within a few minutes of the system being armed, it will always disarm on the first attempt.  It seems like the failure on the first disarm attemp only happens when the system has been armed for a longer period of time.

I have recently added smoke detectors and a remote siren.  Is it possible the keypad is hitting the zigbee repeater in the remote siren and some sort of delay is being introduced, where maybe the first part of the code isn't being sent?

I do plan on removing the siren and seeing if the problem goes away.

Thoughts?
