Home Control 150 - Unable to activate hub

I received Home Control 150 self install kit which includes the Netgear hub. The instructions would seem very basic. You connect the hub to your existing router, wait for the lights to flash the correct color, and launch a browser window and activate. The hub will never be detected. I enter the device ID as requested and it will never find the hub. I even direct connected to the Home Control hub itself through my laptop and still it will never find the hub to complete activation.

 

I've rebooted it, followed the reset instructions, and tried all possible means of networking troubleshooting. I called Comcast and the extent of their help consisted of asking me to reboot the device.

 

It was determined a technician would have to call "within 24 hours". That was 3 days ago! I have a non-working service I paid for, and nobody seems interested in supporting it.

 

Are there any other suggestions as to how to activate the hub.
