need open port, but have security cameras

I have Xfinity X1 platform everything....including security.  When they installed the plug-n-play cameras/new router/modem everything went fine for viewing those cameras online through Xfinity.  BUT now I cannot view my other security cameras we had hard wired and connected to the above menionted DVR. The original IP address that was written down by the installer of the Digimerge DVR was different when the Comcast guy came back out to investigate my problem in this post. So I understand that if I use port forwarding our contract with the security side of Comcast is null as the security cameras installed by Comcast would no longer be secured.  I was able to change the IP and port address from the Comcast guy and it worked for awhile.  Now it does not work again....hence why I'm asking if IP addressed change with Comcast products.

Digimerge DH108000 8 channel DVR w/4-5 cameras

Any help would be greatly appreciated.....
