Thank you! I really am loving this Home Automation stuff, even from a pure hobby standpoint these days! To me it's very exciting to think of different ways to adapt the XH System devices, etc... to my own needs and to be able to customize it is really cool!
Yes, I even use window senors and curtain motion detectors for my outdoor gates and driveway openings! It work great! Once in a blue moon, you'll get a false reading form a morning sunlight beam on the curtain detectors, but other than that, AOK!
I did have 3 semi-bad iCamera1's recently, so Comcast was here the other day and did replace them for me with the new iCamera2's and yes - a huge difference as far as the higher resolution and like a 120 or so degree angle of view with a slight fish eye effect. I like these even better and yes the night vision on them is just as good or even better as well.
I also now see a slight buffering time, but not bad though. To me, for the quality of the vision of these, it is worth the buffer time to me.
I have a feeling Comcast will iron these little bugs out when they take things to live 24/7 recording and I did hear in the wind that this is supposed to happen by year's end! Thanks all.
