I had mine installed today. I have my own modem 6190 and to use security (home) they stuck this POS net gear wifi router directly off the modem (I suppose to get the external IP access) and then I had to cascade down stream from that my router/premise equipment.
In doing this I suffer from double NATing. If I disable the control from my router (eliminating the double NAT) I get horrible ping times and pathetic download/upload speeds.
I am livid with this and I'm not sure I will keep it if this is my only option.
If this configuration is required, my opinion is I'll buy another modem, and xfinity can provision it for the home use. When I was directly into the modem, I was getting great speed results. Being forced to do my network config this way with the POS netgear, I'm pretty sure I'm calling to cancel.
