Even though the customer service rep on the phone will tell you the same thing, "No you can't move it", I personally have moved mine multiple times in my house. All you need to do is make sure the wireless signal is strong in the purposed new area. Take your laptop or phone, and test the area in question first is my suggestion. The touch screen will tell you it has lost power and you will have to acknowledge that, but that is about it. Just only move it and plug it in as soon as possible.
If you have one of the bad batteries, then you will notice that the touch screen will not come back alive after 5 minutes being unplugged (happened to me). Then you will need to call and go through ad have them send a tech out, who will replace the battery, even though it did not show the battery as being low.
Hope this helps.
