If the distance from that door to your panel is huge (or the next closest wireless sensor), it could eat batteries because of transmissions. However, never heard of days.

In checking the sensor it appears it is having a communication problem with the touchscreen causing a quick drain on the batteries (when the signal is low, it automatically ramps up the power level to boost the signal in the hope of reacquiring the connection). It could either be a bad sensor or the sensor is out of range of the touchscreen. An XFINITY Home technician can help survey the issue in your home and make the best determination for your needs.
