Now that Nest is integrated with Xfinity; any plans for support to detect if smoke / carbon dioxide to report this to the monitoring company?
Similar to the Smoke detectors that xfinity has as an option this device theoriectically could send the information to the monitoring company and they could call and verify or whatever their support procedures are use these as another tool to protect the Xfinity Home customer and their property
This would also allow Comcast to be able to charge to install Nest Protects too (similar to Nest Thermostats) and on the National Home Certificate - Alarm Certificate they could be eligible to check off the last three items too which would help reduce costs for insurance for customers.
