We have one cable modem, but I have not seen a security router. Also, we have no comcast boxes, we just have a tivo box with a cable card. Well we keep getting a unable to connect to broadband error and comcast cannot communicate with the portal, but our wireless and broadband is fine.
Today they sent out a technician while I was at work and from what I understand the guy changed the SSID saying that would correct it, to my wife, but 30 minutes after the guy left, the same thing happened.
Now I do not see anywhere on the Portal Pad where you can specify the WiFi, you can only check the strength which is excellent for both WiFi and Cell.
