The other party was not making a smart remark. As for your answer. It all depends on the schedule of the techs that handle Comcast Home. Think of it like trying to get into a specialist, that your dr has scheduled you to go see.
They state you cannot get in until 30-45 days from the date the dr's office called for you to go see them. You have the option at that point of talking to the nurse or administration unit, to get placed on a bump list, in case someone cancels.
You can do the same thing with Comcast. Call to let them know that if someone cancels, or an opening comes up, that you would like to see if you can be placed on that list. That way you may be able to get an earlier opening, which may or may never happen.
