I have been trying to record DVDs from my saved Comcast DVR programs. I have a Toshiba DVD recorder and its analog video/audio imputs are correctly hooked up to my Xfinity box outputs. I have no trouble seeing the videos when the TV input is set to the Toshiba's output. The problem is that whenever I try to record a program on the DVD recorder it records for several seconds and then I get the error message "This recording is not recordable in Video mode - E27". I have used both DVD-R disks and DVD-RW disks (the latter set to VR mode rather than video mode), but still no luck with either. It is not only DVRd programs that I can't record, but also live TV through the Xfinity box. I am wondering if Comcast has built this problem into their boxes. Any suggestions would be appreciated...
