Having had the not so great service of comcast for several years, i decided to further torture myself and add the security feature with cameras and upgrade to X1. The agent who sold me on this said, and i have it in writting, that the touchpad had a battery and we could take it (the monitor/touchpad) to bed with us so that we could easily access it if there was a problem, this is also indicated in the video we watched. After two weeks of problems, we asked the service tech about this, he laughed and said, NNOOOO, that's not true, you can unplug and move it, but plug it back in asap or you will loose contact with the internet and all cameras and it takes a long to time reconnect. OH, NICE! Furthermore, our internet is worse than before, the tv jams more than before, and my new bill is over $400!!! Can you believe it? Another tech has to come next week to completely rewire the house for the internet and main tv (box)... all which should have been caught by the first tech... or the last few techs over the years... and... love it... this will cost additional service charges$$!! I am amazed at this billion dollar corporation and the lack of quality service it provides. I can't believe i didn't just go with Verizon. Im in too deep now, but go back! Save yourselves! Do NOT engage further with comcast!
