I currently have a 2nd gen Nest thermostat but was thinking about getting the Xfinity Home 300 package with the Ecosaver thermostat. What exactly is the difference between the two? Does the Ecosaver cloud based solution really save that much more energy than Nest? My home is an energy efficient home that was built in June 2013. It has Low-E windows and fiberglass insulation throughout. All of the windows are facing north and south so the sun is never shining directly into the house. I have a 95% efficient York natural gas furnace and a Lenox XC14 air conditioner. Would Ecosaver really save me that much in heating/cooling costs compared to Nest?
