Everything I've read so far is geared toward somebody who is hooking up new service and adding service. I am replacing existing equipment with the new unit. I'm not sure what to do about the telephone service modem in the basement, or what to do about the cable that is connected to it. The cable for the internet is on the first floor, so I'm pretty sure I can handle that. Is there something out here that I haven't seen yet that describes step by step how to replace old with new, or is this something I'm supposed to be smart enough to figure out? Any guidance will be appreciated. Bud Anderson
