Service Outage setting off my home alarm system

Three times in the past 6 months I've been woken up around 2:00 am by the sound of my home alarm system siren going off.  This is not a ComCast alarm system. It is a DSC system installed and maintained by a reliable company here in Boston.  This system has been working fine for the past 2 1/2 years however out of no where, last June it went off in the middle of the night, and once again about a month ago.  It seems whenever my cable service experiences an outage, my alarm system can no longe detect the phone line and sets it off.

I had a tech come out to the house and he explained maybe the modem/wireless tower was going bad so we replaced it with only a modem and I purchased my own router.  Things seemed fine after that for awhile.  A few weeks later I upgraded to the X1 system, which came with it's own new (supposidly better) modem/wireless router tower and things "seemed" OK.

This morning I was once again woken up by my home alarm siren at 3:00 am.  I verified there was no phone or internet service, and although there was a show playing on the TV, I had no control over it except to turn on or off.

I called Xfinity and the person I spoke did not help my situation at all.  I was told there was an outage in my area that should be corrected around 6:00 AM.  15minutes later I had all services back, however NOW, 1 1/2 hours later there is still a message showing when I sign on line informing me about this outage.

Has anyone out there who has a non ComCast home alarm system experienced anything like this?  All I wanted to know from the person on the phone was : Does ComCast/Xfinity have regularly scheduled outages for whatever reasons they may have?  If so, this wasn't going to work for me with my alarm system.  The person on the phone wasn't able to answer that question.  All I was told over and over again was HOW to see if there was an outage in my area, and who to contact to inquire how long it might be.  I couldn't get her to understand THAT wasn't what I was upset about.  I am upset because I don't like being abruptly woken up by my alam system in the middle of the night because the cable "might" be haveing a scheduled outage.

So, to finally end this ranting, does anyone know if Xfinity has scheudled outages?  If so, is there a way we can be notified ahead of time?  Luckly each time it's happened I've been home however I wouldn't want my alarm to be going off annoying my neighbors for who knows how long if I wasn't here when it happens.

If they do not have scheduled outages, and this last own was just a fluke, then I guess I'll have to see about making changes with my alarm company.  It just strikes me odd that I didn't have any problems for over 2 years and all of a sudden it just started.

Thanks for any help anyone can give me
