Despite the pet immunity, my motion senson is constantly triggered by a 10lb cat. I highly doubt relocation is a possible solution. The sensor is mounted 9 feet up on a wall facing a large open area. The closest a cat can get to the sensor would be 9 feet (directly under the sensor), it isn't able to get any closer by climbing on anything. As a result, I've been forced to constantly turn off the motion sensor each time I set the alarm.
The way the system was installed, armed night has the motion sensor active. I do see value in using the motion sensor, as I'd like to use it for lighting and camera rules, however, I don't want to have to keep turning off the sensor each time I set the alarm. Additonally, I'm unable to disable the sensor when setting the alarm using only the keypad.
Is there a way to keep the motion sensor active for the rules, but keep it from triggering the alarm in any mode?
Thanks.
