Hi CFDC,

I had a feeling this would be the case.  I too just ordered a new SMC SMCCO02-Z WIRELESS CO CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR SENSOR ALARM from E-Bay for $32.00 w/shipping too !!!

I had the same idea and I want to try and pair it up anyway and see if it works.

Even if the Central Station does not monitor it any longer, I am still at least hoping to make Rules that can be used for our own end, such as an e-mail or text alert, etc... if this new CO Unit does go off !!!

Have you tried any Rules with it yet ???

I can "SORT OF" understand that hey don't want the liability... But it comes back my other thoughts of:  Don't Burglars that get by, false alarms, etc... make for liabilities as well ???

I they were so gun shy about liability, then why did Comcast jump into the Home Security Business ???

Best regards,

Jim :smileyhappy:
