1.5 years ago we signed up for the xfinity deal with security monitoring. We knew we would be relocating before the 3 year contract was over and the sales rep confirmed there was service in the area we were moving to in Durham, NC. Now that we are moving in 2 months, it turns out Comcast does not and has never had service in that area. Comcast wants to charge us $400 for terminating a contract that we signed under false pretenses. We never would have signed the contract if the rep had not lied to us. Why should we have to pay when Comcast did not keep up their end of the bargain?
