I diligently raced down to our Comcast store to get the free digital box before a certain date when they would begin charging. They gave us a bigger device for one TV and a smaller one for the other TV. Both work fine. We pay for the basic economy plan --which is one step up from basic. When we moved one TV to another room and requested that someone come out to activate the cable in the new room, that request apparently triggered an "audit," and Comcast informed us that some time after we received the free small digital box, they changed their policy and decided that the small boxes could only be used for basic service, not the basic economy plan, and we now need to pay for a new larger digital box! Even though the smaller box works fine! They just refuse to send the signal through it to force us to spend more money! Just another way to make more money. This is bait and switch, in my opinion!
