Hi all,
At installation yesterday, I asked to add an additional thermostat which I was told I couldn't do and then was told I couldn't even add one because we have a zoned system. 2 separate thermostats - one for each zone (upstairs and downstairs) from a single furnace unit.
He mumbled something about the thermostats needing to talk to each other to work correctly, which apparently they couldn't do. I'm still not sure I understand why they would need to talk to each other. Just need to relay a signal back to a control panel like any other thermostat I would think, but, I'm no techy.
So, question is, does anyone have a successful installation of either one or multiple XH-thermostats as part of a zoned HVAC system? Or was my technician correct?
