Yes, if you got the notification that you have been changed to paper billing, then the billing department did in fact disable the incorrect feature.
There is currently 2 ways you can disable EcoSaver.
The first is temporary (if you ever want it back on) directly on the touchscreen.
The second is "permanent". Calling the billing department (for Home Security) specifically and requesting them to add the billing code "No EcoSaver". This can be removed if you ever want it back and honestly seems to work the best. The touchscreen does re-enable it during updates, and resets.
