You have to use the old style portal to set up rules for your thermostat, I have mine set to turn off when armed in away mode and turn on automatically when I disarm. You and also set a specific temp as well like for example when armed in night mode set temp to 70 and when armed in stay set to 69 or whatever temp of your choice . Customer service is wrong you can set up and rule by using the old style portal
