Should I have done Xfinity Home takeover vs new wireless system?

I recently decided to ditch ADT and go to Xfinity home for our alarm service.  We had a wired system with ADT that included 4 door sensors, motion detector, and 2 keypads.  When I was setting up the install originally, the lady I spoke with knew it was an existing system that they would be taking over but when the tech arrived yesterday he said he could only do a new wireless install and couldn't do a takeover, if I wanted a takeover he would need to get another tech to do it.  I asked about the benefit of one vs the other and he basically said their was no difference so I said alright, go ahead and do wireless.

My question is if I should have had them do the actual system takeover instead of a new wireless system?  Now every door has 2 sensors, we have 2 motion sensors stacked on top of each other, and my wife's biggest complaint is that while we do have the digital lcd screen, we now only have one keypad, when we were expecting and are accustomed to 2 (one by garage door, one upstairs in the bedroom).  The keypad also doesn't beep when opening doors, only the LCD beeps.  With kids that let themselves in/out all the time, we need to be able to hear the beep and not have to tote the screen around the house.  When I spoke to the representative when I was setting it up, she assured me that they could take over both keypads, and it wouldn't be an issue.  I don't want to remove the wired sensors in case we or any future owner wants to use the wired setup, but it looks cluttered to have both there next to each other (see pictures).

The tech was very nice and seemed to do a good job with the setup of the new system, but now I have 2 complete alarm systems in the house, which seems a bit odd and somehow less effective than the one system we previously had.

Any feedback would be appreciated!
