Re: Ability for Outdoor Camera to Record on Motion

I totally agree. At minimum, the motion sensor feature should be turned on so we can at least record a 15 second clip when motion is detected if we don't want 24/7 recording (but that wouldn't be a good move financially for Comcast/Xfinity, not many would pay for 24/7).

 

Also, I noticed that with two lower cost plans (XFINITY Home - Automation and XFINITY Home - Control 150) you get to have one camera with the 24/7 recording free of charge (monthly fee to add more cameras), but with the the more expensive Home Secure plans you're required to pay for all cameras (no free one). I would think it would be the opposite, you get the perks if you're paying more per month. I guess with Comcast you get rewarded for choosing the cheaper plans and paying them less per month.

 

Unless there's another reason that I'm not aware of (plan specific reason I'm assuming) as to why those plans get the first 24/7 recording camera free of charge.
