I had called for information regarding setting up home security with my existing equipment. I asked a LOT of questions and made it clear the system was wireless. I was set up with a fantastic package, upgrades to my current cable TV package and was told that my existing wireless equipment could be reconfigured with the new Comcast service AND I would still be able to have the 3 sensors added to my home if needed as well as a second motion sensor in a different room. Sounds fabulous and what I had read about and heard from other companies.
Fast forward to tonight, the night before installation is supposed to occur. THe tech confirming my appointment wanted to go over several things with me as well. He asked questions and ended up telling me that it is impossible to use existing wireless sensors with the new service. He offered me a $150 discount on additional equipment I would need. He said that my package did NOT include a motion sensor. He also told me that sales people with Comcast will only tell me what I want to hear when I told him to cancel my appointment and that I would be calling Comcast back to question them about what he was telling me.
I feel like I have been lied to. Either by the Comcast rep or by this technician. But the technician offering me a discount on additional equipment??? That was the number one reason I told the guy to cancel my appointment. I feel like I made the deal with Comcast, I am contracted through Comcast, and I am paying for my service/package through Comcast, why in the holy heck would the TECHNICIAN be offering me a discount on equipment? He said he had been working on Comcast security since it came to CA so "trust me"
I need the truth before I agree to have this service installed. Can someone enlighten me please?
