I was told the cameras record. I guess I should have asked for continuous recording....

My suggestion would be to check Amazon or Ebay because i do know Comcast does not sell the adapters by themselves.

Camera issues here as well. very frustrating. From my Comcast web portal I get "The system is unable to establish camera connections....."

 

iPhone and iPad just spinning with "Connecting to camera". Seriously considering ADT or installing my own system. For what Comcast charges there shouldn't be this many problems. A Ward

WardaRden...my daughter did ADT...they are crooks! Install your own...it's not that difficult. Get cellular connection, not hard-wired connection!

I have success with Comcast, after resolving several issues...try a local alarm company, or check out the Internet. My daughter found companies who will adapt her ADT system with modifications they sell for a do it yourselfer...she got ripped off pretty badly by ADT for the installation of a few extra window contacts...One pretty cheap and easy to install is Simplisafe, but no cameras...just easy to install items...

Just had a new and "improved" touchscreen TCA203COM put in because of the exploding battery recall on the previous one they provided me (which it was near exploding and was located right next to my nephews head where he sleeps). Comcast in all their brillance has since removed the expose your personal router to the internet option and now my slingbox and my seperate DVR cameras are useless outside of my home network. My guess is when I call they are going to tell me that I have to use their device which I won't because I already have purchased my own EMTA TM822G and refuse to pay rental fees for their equipment! Sounds like after this "upgrade" they are leaving me no choice but the break out of this contract! Dear Comcast quit removing equipment options that the consumer needs so that you can sell more equipment rentals! As is the story of Comcast everything goes in reverse order.

Are you sure?  You should be able to put the netgear router for XHS and place it behind your own router.

I too have had many issues with this so called security product. The smoke alarm in particular, and the difficulty in stoping it and preventing comcast from sending police and fire fighters for burnt food and low batteries.

Am not sure what the specific name would be since the adapter part is just a regular voltage adapter.

What we can do is schedule an appointment so to get the equipment replaced. I sent you a private message so that we can get an appointment scheduled.

Does anything on this system work?  I am preparing a letter to the COB about the fact that in a month since I started the service, they haven't been able to install the cameras, the thermostat settings and light schedules do not work.  I reset the thermostat and the time is wrong with no way to fix it.  I disarmed the system when coming home from work but the red light is still on and won't go off.  

 

Customer service acts nice but can do nothing except make me wait even longer for the system I am paying for to work.

Let us know how you make out...I tried calling the Chairman several times but can't get through his firewall of people taking his calls...they should really get out of the security business they are so incompetent....

You can set off the alarm, which automatically gets reported to the monitoring station they will give you a little bit of time to disarm  to prevent false alarms and fines but if you let the system go off for a few minutes you will receive a call from the monitoring station going in the order the emergency contact list is setup.

constantly losing power

Every month for the last three months i have lost power to my security system.  This system is a failure and is horrible. I can't keep this from happening if there is a problem with their equipment.

I was unable to reply to a private reply which has made me more furious than I already am.  The technician Sunday probably won't be any better than the last 4, but today's refused to acknowledge that the system was not Arming Away even when right in front of his face.  The thermostat schedule still doesn't work.  This is hopeless.
