Once again nothing to do with *home security* equipment there Barb.....

The chime suddenly stopped working for all sensors so I had to pull the battery. After it came back up, the time is several hours and a day off. will it eventually assert itself?

I miss these features as well, but my weather app has actually stopped working altogether. "not available".

Comcast installed a Netgear router for the security system, I have a R7000 Nighthawk router now the only way I can work my router is as a access point. How do I disable the DHCP funtion of Comcast's router so I can use my router as it was intended??

It sounds like they may have connected the Security Router to your modem, and then your Nighthawk to the security router.

Flip that around and you should be good. Cable Modem --> Nighthawk Router --> XFINITY Home Netgear Security Router.

You might need to unplug the devices from power and then plug them back in after the reconfiguration to get them talking to each other again.

I'm considering changing from Ackerman Security to Xfinity home security - but have window and door sensors already imbedded within the home along with motion detectors and touch screen Honeywell panels. Can all of this work with Xfinity Home Security - and if so, are the technicians trained to use existing equipment, sensors and motion detectors?
