if you have the 300 secure package then by default it does NOT support taking pictures or any type of recording. if you have the 350 secure package than that does come with the enhanced video monitoring which is actually the service that allows recording but only up to 15sec clips. btw i think the xhen video monitoring costs about like $7/month or something
