stupid question
This is a stupid question, but can I keep my camera showing on touch screen as a screensaver without harming the touchscreen? Any other thing it might harm? Thanks

Thanks! I was able to get them all connected no thanks to Xfinity. Absolutely horrible customer service! Through the internet and people like you, however, I'm fully connected and ready to go. It really was easy which is why I struggle to see why Xfinity was so difficult to deal with. I truly think it's just a way for them to sell you their equipment at an inflated rate and have their technician get paid a lot of money.

Are you talking about the tablet or an actual monitor. Either way if you leave an unchanging image ...screen for a long time, you might see a faint remnant of the image even after a new image replaces it.
I leave the camera view when im home, but turn the screen off when im not home.

how can Eco Saver be disabled by the user?
why the theromstat can't be reached (showing it's nonnected, via tablet temp. can be controlled etc.)?
what to do when the online thermostat service can't reach the thermostat and you are 5000 miles away from home?
Maybe I can add one more: why should I pay for this service?

There is a second or two delay in the door chime. My old system was instant. Is this normal?

Xfinity Home System lost connection......5 service visits in 6 months?!?
Has anyone had reoccurring issues every month or so where the connection from the security router to the touchscreen is lost / cameras lose connection. We go through the reboot, unplug, stand on one leg while touching your nose and you still have to call in and give your DNA, check this and that and then end up having them come out to wave a magic wand and spread fairy dust around the house and never explain the root cause and what they did to resolve or how to fix it ourselves / prevent it from happening again?!? The last visit lasted over 2 hours and he replaced the main router, the security router and added a plug in booster device for the scurity router after moving it to another room. This will be the 5th trip in 6 months..............

Setting Up Thermostat for 2 Stage Furnace?
We just got a new furnace installed which is a 2-stage, unlike the old single stage we had. On the page at http://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/home-control/thermostat-help it says "From the factory, the thermostat comes configured to work with single stage Cool/Heat, Single Speed Fan systems. If your HVAC system is different, refer to the programming section to configure the thermostat for your system."
Ok, so below is the programming section which only talks about setting it up for a heat pump, or switching between gas and oil, but nothing about how to set it up for a 2-stage furnace. I can get it into program mode fine, but it's completely not obvious what I have to do after that. Support on the phone was completely clueless.
Does anybody know how to do this?

A user can't turn it off. I had to spend 30 minutes getting routed back and forth until I got someone with a clue. Apparently certain bundles have Ecosaver turned on automatically, and (this is the *BEST* part /sarcasm) in that case it doesn't show up in their system as Ecosaver being on, it's on a completely different screen. So you have to tell them you have a bundle with Ecosaver on and to please disable it. That's the only way I was finally able to get it off.

Xfinity smoke detectors
Are the Visonic MCT-427 wireless smoke alarms that Comcast installs interconnected, as in when my Visonic smoke alarm one the main floor of my house senses smoke, will the other four Visonic wireless smoke alarms that are part of system also start beeping? OR will only the main system alarm start to sound?
For example, all of the hard-wired 120VAC smoke alarms in my house are all interconnected so that when one goes off, they all do.
As another example, some wireless smoke alarms from other manufacturers such as FirstAlert and Kidde are marketed as wireless interconnected smoke alarms, meaning when one wirelss smoke alarm detects smoke and starts to beep, all of the other wireless interconnected devices will also start to beep.
It seems like having all the smoke detectors in the house interconnected like this is the best way to insure that occupants of the house are alerted to potential danger even if the smoke has set off a smoke alarm that may be too far away to adequately hear.
So.... Are they wirelessly interconnected or not????

strange issue, 2 of my 3 camera's are only showing black and white pictures. the 3rd is in full color.
all three were in color not 2 hours ago.
I reset the camera's not sure what to do

XFINITY HOME SECURITY OUTAGE
iIWAS WONDERING HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO FIX MY HOME SECURITY.
MY HOME HAS BEEN WITOUT SECURITY SINCE JAN 11TH.
ALSO, I WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE CREDIT TO MY ACCOUNT ON BEING WITHOUT XFINITY SECURITY SERVICE AFTER WE CALL XFINITY TO RESOLVE. BECAUSE I PAID FOR SERVICE THAT I WASNT ABLE TO USE.

XFINITY Home netgear router is loosing connection
since a couple of weeks the netgear router which is used for XFINITY home on top of the existing xfinity router is loosing connection.
The effect is that the thermostat is no longer under controll of the online rules (didn't switch on etc).
I have access from the XFINITY home tablet to everything but online I didn't see the correct thermostat temp.
When I reset the netgear router the Connectivity test shows everything is correct.
After a while or couple of days with correct function same happens.
This is not only disappointing but I'm heavy travelling and loosing the connection without the possiblity to reset when I'm away from home is on high risk for security and temp. control reason.
Is there a possibility to reset remotely?
Why is the tablet working but not the online control?
Any idea?

UPDATE
Daylight saving started today, but the thermostat again had the wrong time.
Deleted and re-paired on the main unit and the time was correct.
Not sure why the thermostat time won't update. seems like it should be able to do this without re-pairing every time. seems like this should be part of the basic design; the main home touch screen console had the correct time this morning.

yes sometimes 2 times a month they come fix next 1/2 hour or as soon as drive away starts the samething all over Very upsetting

If the cameras are located in a area with low light the cameras may be in inferred mode. If you look at the cameras if the red lights in the center of the camera is on its in inferred mode. Moving the camera to allow more light in the lens should help it.
