Re: Motion detectors outside to activate cameras

Hi all,

You may want to re-read my earlier post on Outdoor Sensors and Cameras, etc...  I currently use indoor motion sensor equipment outdoors with no problems and all is good 99% of the time !!!

Every now and then I'll get a glare from a car headlight in my driveway gate opening sensors or on a windy day, a leaf will go by giving a false alarm, but that is rare !!!

Just take your time and use you head and try and weatherproof your sensors.  I use electrical tape over the seems of the sensors openings and hot glue to close in all pinholes, etc... and I painted the senors with forest green paint to match the chain link fencing, etc... and all is AOK and you can't hardly even notice them !!!

I did buy my own Curtain Motion Sensors in the E-Bay world for my driveway gate openings and the front walkway gate door sensors are from Xfinity !!!  Hee-Hee !!!  Smiley Wink
